Magic Carpet

Limited edition print on high quality paper measuring 20 cm x 20 cm. sketch, . This sketch is one in the series of preliminary work based on oriental textile designs found around my home, in preparation for a final canvas on the theme. There are elements from oriental rugs and cushion covers that I love. Here I am experimenting with combining the soft, rounded elements of Turkish textiles, with the more geometric, angular motifs on Thai and Caucasian examples.
